Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. We ordered the healthy start breakfast and tri-tip sandwich, they were both excellent. Easily the one of the best restaurants near the Vandenberg Air Force Base with a beautiful garden and spacious dining room. Also the only one in Lompoc on Open Table!

Wonderful mom-and-pop diner for every meal! The staff are courteous, the prices are great, and the portions are large. Fun decorations throughout the premises too.

Great dinner at Dave’s Place in the Village Inn. Started with the artichoke appetizer which was expertly prepared and presented. The wine menu was super local! The strawberry and arugula salad with tritip was excellent. The prime rib was melt in your mouth good. Servers were very attentive and courteous. Definitely will be back and will bring more people. They also have separate rooms for private events.

Our waiter Jim is the best dinner server at Dave’s Place. He was prepared with excellent recommendations, efficient service and a super positive attitude. All the food was fresh & delicious!

This restaurant was attached to our hotel, so we were set on trying them out for either dinner or breakfast! After a morning of driving and going to the beach we were excited to have dinner with drinks at Dave's Place. We came in and the place was very busy! We opted to sit at the lounge and we got the last table available. The lounge was lively and the staff was so friendly. We ordered drinks right away and looked at the menu. We decided on ordering a clam chowder for each of us and sharing a BBQ combo plate with two meats and two sides. Everything was soo good and great portions. We especially loved the clam chowder and the baby back ribs! We totally recommend this spot and we heard their breakfast is also delicious!!

The food was outstanding, and both my mother and I received generous portions for lunch. We both had plenty leftover to take home. The service and atmosphere was outstanding as well. We live in Santa Maria and we will definitely come back. It is worth the trip.

If you want to experience true 5-star service and abundance, go to Dave’s Place. I had a small issue with an order, and Heather, the manager, handled it with such grace and genuine hospitality that I felt like a valued guest immediately. Cynthia, the bartender, is absolutely phenomenal—she is knowledgeable, kind, and creates an atmosphere that is top-notch. They are easily the best restaurant in the area. They understand that hospitality is about how you make people feel. I will be a loyal local customer here for a long long time.

This place is fantastic! Also so accommodating for a delicious vegan breakfast dish. I had veggies (broccoli, squash, zucchini, onion, and mushrooms if you like them) with the potatoes and a side of toast with peanut butter. The serving sizes are generous. My partner had chicken fried steak - the best he’s ever had. The vibe is great and the views are beautiful. The setting is retro and fun. Service is great, everyone is so friendly and helpful. If you are anywhere nearby, this hidden gem is worth the drive. On Sundays you can go right from breakfast to the farmers market next door.

We took a little day trip to Lompoc and stopped at Dave’s Place for lunch. The Chicken Pesto sandwich was amazing, as was the Chef Salad! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel it’s connected to looked super retro cool and made us want to come back and stay. Get out and check them out!

This place is fantastic! A somewhat retro style American diner with delicious food! Portions are generous, the staff is amazing, (Miguel took great care of us) and the overall vibe was charming. Excellent smoked meats and the prime rib was stellar with a smoked flavor as well. Every thing we had was truly very tasty. Well done Dave’s place! We had the prime ribs, 1/2 rack ribs, tri tio, veggies, salad, chicken soup, garlic toast, whipped potatoes, corn, and onion rings, everything was delicious!
